Just came across this ad that features mod era talking Barbie and wanted to share. These ads are interesting because they show how kids used to play with the Barbies. I wonder how kids play with Barbie now. I still don’t see any little girls getting excited about Barbie in the stores in Singapore. Do you think they still do? I’d love it if some of you shared your experiences.
This is a photo of the two talking Barbies in my collection. The first version is the one with the side ponytail. She is still in her original box which I love because of the graphics on it. For instance, below is a photo of what the bottom of the box looks like. I guess that Target tag is what the doll was sold at when it was first introduced into retail stores. I wish I could have bought it at that price 🙂
