Made to Move dolls – 1st wave

I am in love with these dolls and hope that Mattel will create more because they are so versatile. I finally got the orange top one yesterday and can’t believe that she was still available tucked away out of sight on a bottom shelf  Yes, I am relentless at poking around Barbie shelves.

Here is a photo of them. I don’t know if I will ever bring myself to the point of deboxing them because all the dolls look so good together. I know I don’t have the one with the Asian face mold and doubt that she will ever be available within my budget but I am thrilled to have the ones I do.

On a separate note, I got to have lunch and browse for Barbies with a fellow collector which was fantastic since most of my other friends think I am crazy to be still playing with dolls. Yesterday was the first day of the toy fair at Takashimaya, and we thought we could grab some good bargains, but the offerings for Barbie was very disappointing. We did manage to have a 2-hour chat over lunch about Barbies though, so that made the trip to Takashimaya worthwhile.

Its been too long

I’t been a while since I posted and that’s mainly because I’ve been too busy with work 😦 but I’m back now and have loads to share – fortunately or unfortunately (because of the lack of space) .

The first lot of dolls is my new Dynamite Girls. I managed to purchase these 2 beauties from a collector in Australia and am very happy with them.IMG_8153

Chill Factor Eltin (left) and Back to Brooklyn Neve (right) – not in their original outfits.

I’ve also just managed to get my hands on a Made to Move Curvy Barbie. I love the way she looks and my first wave curvy Barbie looks beautiful beside her. I had a great deal of difficulty finding the MTM curvy Barbie but the wait was worth it because she looks fantastic.

The next lot of dolls consists of the ATM Ken cheerleader dolls. They are out of the box but I don’t mind because their outfits are complete and they now have pride of place in my cabinet. I may change their outfits at some later date but for now they will keep their original outfits which look pretty cool 🙂 My fave is the AA doll because its so difficult to find an articulated AA body.

FR Style Notes Isha dressed in a Barbie outfit

I bought Isha some time ago but never found the time to redress her till now. Other then Poppy Parker, this is one of my favourite FR dolls. She is definitely a beauty.
